The 24th Annual Oregon Brewer’s Festival kicks off this week (actually, kicked off), running from Thursday, July 28 thru Sunday, July 31 at Portland’s Waterfront.
This year’s festival breaks new records, with 86 beers on tap from all over the US – and beyond.
As always, the principal focus is Oregon and Washington beers, but beers representing every brewing tradition are represented. From crisp, hoppy IPA’s to sweet stouts and porters, spicy Belgians and easy-drinking golden ales – and even some unusual ingredients like mint, peach, and lemon grass – there is a beer for every palate… and then some.
Taps are open Thursday through Saturday from Noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 7 p.m. Admission is free, although you must buy an official taster mug and scrip from the festival to taste beer.
